Laura was named the 2007 Pikes Peak Writers Conference Volunteer of the Year.
Laura has been asked to write and produce the 2008 Romance Writers of America RITA and Golden Heart Awards Ceremony, to be held in San Francisco.

- Laura spoke at the Colorado Romance Writers "Romancing the Rockies" conference where she presented her "The Subliminal Writer" workshop.
April 20-22, 2007

Laura was Director of the 2007 Pikes Peak Writers Conference, helping to celebrate the organization's 15th anniversary. Author guests included Jim Butcher, author of the Dresden Files, Robert Crais, author of the Elvis Cole novels, and Mary Jo Putney. See photos here.

2006

Laura wrote and produced the Romance Writers of America's Awards Ceremony at their National Conference, held at the Marriott Marquis in Atlanta. The ceremony featured Nora Roberts as the emcee and also awarded Susan Elizabeth Phillips the 2006 Lifetime Achivement Award.

2005

Laura was a guest on Much Ado About Books on their "Salute to Veterans & Soldiers" radio show.

Laura attended RWA National in Reno and was presented a National Service Award. She became a last-minute sub and acted as the Awards Ceremony master of ceremonies

Laura spoke at the Colorado Gold Conference sponsored by Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers.

Laura presented a workshop at the "Romancing the Rockies" Conference sponsored by Colorado Romance Writers in Denver.

Laura was the Master of Ceremonies at the Pikes Peak Writers Conference where she also presented two workshops.
